A practical guide to browser play
Controls, saves and a sensible first session.
Start with your controls
A mouse-only adventure is a different proposition from a keyboard arcade game. Use the control notes to find something that suits your device. Touch support on a host is not a guarantee that a small screen will feel comfortable.
Check where progress lives
A browser save can disappear when site data is cleared. An account save follows the provider’s rules. Before switching devices, find the game’s own save information and check whether export or cloud saves are available.
Let the first session be small
Start with a puzzle, one level or a short introduction. Adjust sound and graphics before a live match. If loading fails, try an up-to-date browser and report the actual page rather than installing software from an unexpected prompt.
Finish somewhere sensible
Use a natural stopping point. A finished board or a completed chapter makes it easier to return without remembering half a plan. Browser games are entertainment; there is no need to keep a tab open all evening.
